SAND Technology Inc., an international provider of intelligent enterprise information management software, has signed a deal with Procter & Gamble (P&G) for a pilot project to evaluate the benefits of nearline storage (NLS) to more efficiently and cost-effectively manage their multi-terabyte SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0 data warehouse.

“SAND/DNA’s high data compression rates, minimal administration requirements and integration with SAP BI are the main reasons we are evaluating SAND to complement our SAP environment,” said Maria Gracia Pasquale, director, P&G global business services.
